Warrior USB Upgrade Panel For Model 5000 DSP Cased and Open Hole Logging Systems

Until recently most Warrior logging systems used a Delanco Spry Model 5000 DSP acquisition board that plugged into the ISA bus of the logging computer. Modern computers generally do not include an ISA bus slot and there is a demand that the logging system be run from both rack mount and notebook computers. New production of logging systems from SDS are based on a tool interface panel that contains the acquisition boards and connects to the computer through the standard Universal Serial Bus (USB).

In order to provide an upgrade path for older systems SDS has developed a USB Upgrade Panel. This panel connects to the CTR, DAS and DSP connectors of the original interface panel and allows the use of 32 bit software on any computer with Microsoft Windows® 2000 or XP operating system installed, and one available USB port.

The Warrior USB Upgrade Panel has the following configuration:

new     Digital Signal Processor (DSP) with 1.6 MSPS 12 bit ADC and 3 x 12 bit DAC

new     16 Channel, 16 bit ADC, 4 Channel Counter/Timers

new     Integrated USB Hub with 3 available ports

The upgrade package consists of the upgrade panel itself, an upgraded acoustic and  pulse processing board, and 32 bit software for Windows 2000 and XP.

Portable and Open Hole Configurations are available upon request.
Support is available for a wide variety of open hole tools, for both oil field, water wells and other well log applications. Various options for portable systems are also available, please contact SDS for details.
